How Air Cooled Chillers and Water Chillers Work?

Both air and water chillers have the same components: a compressor, an evaporator, a condenser, and an expansion valve. by the way, both types are very similar. The compressor pushes a refrigerant around the inside of the chiller through the condenser, the expansion valve, the evaporator, and back to the compressor. but the difference between air and water chillers is the Air chillers use air to remove heat while water chillers use water.

1.3 Water Volume

Make sure to understand the total how many water to be cool? Then it can be calculated the right size of a chiller.

 

1.4 Temperature required

Any Chilled water temperatures can be made. It depending upon application requirements.

 

1.5 Cooling time

some cooling system will be requested cool fast, make sure to know the cooling time required. Also, it depends on the ambient temperature as well as the temperature of the water supply.

 

1.6 Voltage

Depending on the custom chiller and voltage and phase requirement, the specification will change. The cooling capacity of the chiller may range from a few tons to a thousand tons or more.

As usual, the chiller design with voltage from 110V/60HZ,220V/60HZ, 380V/50HZ,220V/50HZ,12V/24V/48V.

 

1.7 Power Consumption

It needs to evaluate overall chiller plant performance, therefore, it involves an analysis of total power consumption of the compressor, pumps, cooling fans, etc.

 

Final Step: Transferring a design to a production file

Creating a custom water chiller production-ready file typically involves transferring a vector design or otherwise into a production sized bitmap image, which will be done by our skilled technical team. Our cooling technicians use this file to match different parts of the water chiller system.
