The structure and characteristics of condenser:

1 Air-cooled Condenser

Air and R22 are often counter-current, compared with water-cooled condenser, the efficiency is lower, used in small and medium-sized units.

2.Horizontal shell-and-tube Condenser

The end cover has a baffle to divide the heat exchanger tubes into even-numbered ones. The refrigerant travels through the Shell, i. e. , R22 condenses outside the tube, the upper intake, and the lower exhaust. Cooling water is piped in and out. Water flows backward with R22. High Heat Transfer Coefficient (compared with Air Cooling) , less cooling water consumption (compared with vertical), widely used.

3.Casing condenser

Large-diameter seamless steel tubes with one or more copper tubes inside, and bent into spiral, copper tubes commonly used low-rib tubes. The refrigerant goes up and down the outer casing, and the cooling water goes up and down the inner casing. The reverse flow of water and refrigerant is commonly used in water-cooled chillers. The manufacturing process is simpler and the cost is lower than the shell-and-tube type.

 

4. Plate condenser

The sheet is made of stainless steel sheet, the refrigerant and cooling water flow between the sheets, full contact and high heat transfer efficiency. The plate heat exchanger only needs 1 / 2 ~ 1 / 4 of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger area to achieve the same heat transfer effect.

 

The evaporator structure and characteristics:

1.Fin evaporator

Refrigerants are often in and out, air and refrigerant 2 are often counter-current, low efficiency (compared with horizontal shell-and-tube type) , widely used in small and medium-sized units.

 

 

2. Shell and Tube evaporator

The refrigerant goes through the shell, that is, the refrigerant vaporizes outside the tube, the lower part enters the liquid, exhausts from the upper part; the liquid fills the cylinder body space 70 ~ 80%. The refrigerant keeps boiling in the evaporator and the heat transfer surface is in contact with the liquid refrigerant, so the boiling heat release Coefficient is large and the structure is compact.

Refrigerant charge amount is large. because refrigerant charge amount is large, so refrigerant and lubricating oil when melting, lubricating oil is difficult to return to the compressor, easy to freeze.

 

3.Plate evaporator

Plate evaporator, the plate by the stainless steel sheet stamping molding, between the use of welding connection, refrigerant and cooling water flow in the gap between the sheets, full contact, high heat transfer efficiency, the manufacturing process is more complex, high price.
